The search is on for a man suspected of using a catapult to kill birds at Carshalton's Wilderness Island nature reserve.
Police were contacted on Thursday, May 7, after a man had been seen on the Island with a catapult.
It is believed he used the catapult to kill two blackbirds that had been found on the island.
The man is reported to have said he was hunting the birds, but became abusive when challenged and later walked away.
The man was described as 5ft 11', light skinned, black, in his early twenties, wearing a red t-shirt and had a bag with a red strip on the back.
The catapult used was made of dark wood and had a heavy-duty, rubber sling.
