A man was left in a critical condition after being stabbed three times in the arm and leg during what Sutton police has described as a targeted knife attack in Robertsbridge Road, St Helier.

The 21-year-old was attacked at about 2.34pm on Sunday, February 22 and taken to a south London hospital where he has said to have stabilised.

According to Sutton police, who were called out to the scene by the London Ambulance Service, the attacker was "driving a vehicle, which made off immediately" after the stabbing.

He is described only as "male" and there are currently no details on the vehicle.

Officers are continuing with their enquiries and no arrests have been made.

Following the attack police launched a witness appeal.
