Coffee shops served up a pair of copper-cinos as they looked to brew up good community relations.
Chief Inspector Julian Hagley and Acting Sergeant Steve Donovan took a break from their daily grind to discuss any issues percolating away at TazZa coffee shop in High Street, Sutton, today, January 22, before heading to Rumblin Tums Café in Beddington Gardens, The Usual Place in Station Road, Belmont, and Tasha's Tea Room in High Street, Cheam.
Chief Insp Hagley said: "Even though we have only been here for a few minutes customers have been happy to talk to us about policing issues.
"It's clear from the young mums and older residents we have spoken to that they feel really safe in the borough, and are surprised when told how low crime is."
