A woman has been arrested following the death of a baby girl this morning.
Police officers from the Specialist Child Abuse investigation team were called to Glastonbury Road, St Helier at 7.30am, by the London Ambulance Service.
A five month old girl was taken to hospital where she later died.
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of neglect and remains in custody at a south London prison.
The girl has been identified and next of kin informed, but police are yet to release a name.
