Rooftop fashion show to be held in Brixton in memory of cancer toddler
10:40am Saturday 28th July 2012 in Streatham
Shaniqwa Gooden lost her battle with cancer aged three
A rooftop fashion show is to be held to raise money in memory of a toddler who died from cancer.
The event Strut for Shan, is to celebrate the life of three-year-old Shaniqwa Gooden, who died last year after being diagnosed with cancer of the brain and spine.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to the Helen and Douglas Children's hospice, which looked after Shaniqwa when she was ill.
A diverse mix of up and coming British designers will have their collections paraded down the runway, and there will be music from DJ French Kiss from Kiss FM and a performance by iDentiti from Sky TV talent show Got to Dance.
The event is being held at Brixton Clubhouse on Friday August 3, and the first 100 guests will receive a complimentary cocktail.
Tickets are £12.50 in advance and £15 on the door. For more information visit strutforshan.co.uk
