A schoolgirl is set to see her name up in lights in a new musical production.
Kitty Oliphant, 12, of Abbeville Road, Clapham, will take to the stage with the Youth Music Theatre group in their version of ‘Korczak’.
The musical follows the struggles of a Polish-Jewish children’s author, Janusz Korczak, during World War Two. Kitty plays Romcia, a young Jewish girl at an orphanage where Mr Korczak worked.
Kitty, who attends the Stagecoach Theatre Arts School in Battersea and cites Keira Knightley as her acting inspiration, said: “It is really good and very entertaining. It is a great honour to be part of such a great cast.”
KORCZAK will play at the Rose Theatre Kingston from 31 August to 3 September.
