Sir Richard branson has revealed he is willing to "have a look" at purchasing cash-strapped Crystal Palace Football Club.

The Virgin supremo, who has been linked with buying the club in the past, would be able to name his price for The Eagles, although it is thought any buyer will have to pay between £10m and £15m.

Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle said: "I have to take the best offer to creditors. I'm open to offers, I don't have a figure in mind."

The club were forced into administration by hedge fund Agilo two weeks ago to recover debts of £4.5m.

Mr Branson said: "We are always happy to have a look but I think the chances are less likely than likely.

"If they are for sale, then we are always happy to have a look."

On the pitch, the team have managed to overcome a 10-point administration deduction with a series of good results, including securing a lucrative fifth-round FA Cup tie at home to Aston Villa.
