The Met Office has issued a 'final' weather warning for this week for Greater London and the south east today saying wintry showers, sleet and even snow today could lead to icy conditions tonight and early tomorrow morning.
They say across the region there was the possibility of up to 3cm of snow in places.
However more local weather forecasts for towns like Epsom, Kingston, Wimbledon, Wandsworth and Croydon show freezing temperatures overnight but no snow.
A spokesman for the Met said this was the final weather warning it expected to issue for the week.
He said that in London roads were likely to be salted, reducing the risk of icy roads.
