A Clapham care home commemorated the centenary of World War I with a flag bearing and afternoon of entertainment.
More than 90 people, including the mayor of Wandsworth Councillor Stuart Thom visited Nightingale House in for the celebrations on Sunday, June 22.
The event began with a flag-bearing entry into the Nightingale Lane home’s concert hall by a group of Ajex members and visitors from the Royal Hospital at Chelsea.
Music and songs commemorating the centenary of the war were also performed by Variety Collective.
Helen Simmons, chief executive of Nightingale Hammerson, said: "Sunday was an incredibly moving yet entertaining day for many of our residents. So many of them have such strong connections to World War One and memories of its consequences.
"We would like to thank the mayor of Wandsworth and everyone who joined us at this commemorative event."
