Londoners are being offered discounted summer trips after new research reveals that many of their weekend breaks happened within a 42-mile radius of the capital.
Train companies have teamed up with Transport for London to encourage Oyster card holders to explore more than 500 destinations in Great Britain.
David Mapp, commercial director of the association of Train Operation Companies, said: “We hope that this promotion helps people to get out and about to enjoy Britain’s many wonderful destinations this summer, perhaps with rather more spending money in their pockets.”
Return tickets start at £5 and £10 for first class travel for destinations including Brighton, Arundel and Chichester.
Visit the website to download a voucher before July 25.
