The boyfriend of missing Egham student Miranda Tennant has spoken out about the mysterious circumstances surrounding her disappearance and issued a fresh appeal for anyone who has seen his girlfriend to get in touch.
Matt Wildor was the last person to see the Royal Holloway University student on December 9 when he left their Richmond home, on his return the media student has vanished and left all her cash cards and mobile phone and taking a bottle of whiskey and a small jar of anti-depressants with her.
Her passport was later found in Barnes station and cops are keen to speak to a man who is seen on CCTV putting a passport ona ledge before it was noticed by another commuter.
Mr Wildor, 28, who had been going out with the 25-year-old, for just over five years, said: “It is a mystery why she would just go like this. It is like she has just vanished.
“She took no money and no mobile phone, so I just don’t know how she is surviving. She has lots of groups of friends all around the country but as far as I know, she has not been in touch with any of them.
“You go through ups and downs. Sometimes you are hopeful she will make contact or someone would have seen her. When I went to Barnes Bridge I thought the worst but the police said there would have been news since but then you think how come no one has seen her in almost two weeks?”
More than 1,000 people have signed up to a Facebook group calling for help in finding the student and Mr Wilder, who works in a Putney bookshop, begged for people to get in touch.
