A queuing system is in place at Clapham Junction on some platforms as thousands of people travel to the opening of the Rugby World Cup in Twickenham.

Prepare for a scrum: Stay at home or leave work early, commuters warned of 'exceptionally busy' trains for Rugby World Cup

Entry to platforms three to six is being restricted as sports fans head to the 82,000-spectator event via Waterloo, Vauxhall, Putney and Richmond.

South West Trains has warned commuters to avoid the station from 4pm if possible as they "may have to wait some time" to board a train.
