A new children’s centre will be opened before Christmas as part of the Stanley Primary School rebuild.
The centre, part of the school in Strathmore Road, Teddington, is almost complete and will soon be ready for use.
Councillor Christine Percival, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “After three years, it’s very good to see the new children’s centre almost ready and open.
“I know that it will provide the community with a brilliant new children’s space, particularly in an area that hasn’t had much availability for that before.
“I look forward to the opening toward the end of the year, and hope that people from all over the borough will join us in celebrating the Stanley Children’s Centre’s arrival.”
