Library services have got a £20,000 boost thanks to Arts Council England.
Richmond Council will use the money to take the lead on a partnership project with library and arts services in Kingston, Merton and Wandsworth.
Richmond’s arts and library services will use funding to improve the quality and delivery of arts for adults and children with disabilities.
Councillor Pamela Fleming, cabinet member for community, business and culture, said: “At a time when library services are being cut or reduced across the country, here in Richmond, we are not only committed to keeping our libraries open we are continuously working to improve our services so all residents can enjoy the arts and culture.
“The borough’s libraries already deliver a wide programme of events, this funding will hopefully enable and encourage residents with disabilities to visit their local library more frequently and engage in the many activities on offer.”
