7:30am Tuesday 21st February 2012 in Richmond By Christine Fleming
Wobbleboard-playing favourite Rolf Harris is heading to Richmond.
Harris, who was made a CBE for his artwork and contribution to the entertainment industry, will unveil some of his original paintings at Richmond’s Whitewall Galleries as part of a new exhibition.
The didgeridoo enthusiast’s recent works will be displayed alongside a range of limited edition pieces including his signature collection of things that have caught his eye in recent months.
He said: "While I love the subjects themselves, it’s the light, the colours, the composition of the scenes that held my attention in the first place, and I just had to get them down on to canvas in my own style.”
The popular artist will make a personal appearance at the Hill Street gallery on Sunday, February 26, from 1pm to 3pm the gallery for a private audience.
