Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the "sudden death" of a middle-aged woman in Kew, a spokewoman said today.
Neighbours in Elizabeth Cottages said they saw a body being carried on a stretcher to an ambulance at about 11.30pm on Monday.
One resident said she saw police, paramedics and a fire engine at the scene earlier in the evening.
A police spokeswoman said they were investigating a sudden death in the street.
The spokeswoman said: "Police attended an address in Elizabeth Cottages, Kew, in response to a 50-year-old woman who had been found deceased.
"The matter has been investigated and no other persons are being sought in this matter.
"There will need to be an inquest in due course so further comment is inappropriate.
"Next of kin have been informed."
