A thief has been banned from entering supermarkets in Richmond and Kingston after stealing a poppy collection box from the Royal British Legion.

Jade Bull, 24, of Lowlands Drive in Stanwell, stole the poppy appeal tin from Regal House, an office block in Twickenham's London Road, just days before Armstice Day on November 6.

The requirement to wear an electronic tag was removed from Bull's existing five-year criminal behaviour order after she pleaded guilty on November 30 at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court.

But new requirements were added by magistrates, saying that she must not enter any Sainsbury's, Waitrose or Tesco stores in Richmond, Hounslow, Wandsworth, Hammersmith and Fulham or Kingston.

She must provide receipts for any goods in her possession immediately and leave any shop, commercial premises or private dwelling if asked by the owner or a police officer.

Bull should also not enter any other shop in London from which she has already been banned.

A combined victim surcharge and court costs of £170 were waived due to Bull having spent a day in custody.
