A painting commemorating the life of the Footballer of Loos, Frank Edwards, has gone on display at the Twickenham Museum.
The piece, created by Whitton-based ArtboxUK, celebrates the life of the London Irish rifleman, who lived in Twickenham before he died in 1964.
It forms part of the museum's 100th anniversary of the Battle of Loos exhibition, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, which includes full size mannequins in battle dress.
Mr Edwards was known for kicking off the first big push of World War One by kicking a football and he is depicted in the sign for The Rifleman pub in Fourth Cross Road.
