Haka: Could you do it like the All Blacks?

Marking the start of summer, the riverside parade began by leading crowds to a carnival village at Orleans House Gallery.

Revellers enjoyed a haka dance workshop as well as samba and tango demonstrations.

Richmond Council cabinet member for culture Councillor Meena Bond said: "Twickenham was definitely alive this weekend.

"We had a great turnout and wonderful support from the community. The procession as usual was fantastic. People are so creative.

"It captivates the spirit of the place. People want to come together and be part of this carnival.

"I hope that we can now bottle this local enthusiasm right through the summer until the Rugby World Cup - showing people from all over the world what this borough is really about."
