A Twickenham charity has won a competition for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in education, confronting youth unemployment in Africa.

Charity Teach a Man to Fish has announced the Livingstone Tanzania Trust as the winner of the 2014 Saville Foundation Pan-African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education in Tanzania.

The competition has awarded organisations from 38 different countries with a total of $50,000 in prizes.

Twickenham born co-founder Julian Page said: “For the second year running LTT have won the Pan-African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education - Best in Country from Teach a Man to Fish.

“We are delighted with this achievement which highlights that our innovative and fresh approach to development is being recognised as a viable solution to the problems within our communities.”
