A schoolgirl from Kew has landed a job many adults would love to take on, acting as Legoland's head of fun.

Seven-year-old Harriet Dexter got to work in her new position last weekend after fending off hundreds of other children in the nationwide search to fill the post.

She has joined the Kids in Charge management team and will work alongside colleagues including chief brick inspector, director of bed bounce and official splash tester.

Harriet said: "My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.

"I liked testing all the noises around the hotel best and learning the dance routine and dancing with Oli the Dinosaur."
