Seven men have been charged with affray following an alleged fight after a Brentford FC match.

A fight between supporters broke out at about 10.40pm, after the Watford vs Brentford game on Tuesday, September 30, last year.

Eight men were arrested and released on bail, with seven charged with affray upon answering their bail on January 17 and 18.

The men are Jude Brown, 20, of Summerlands, Acton, Gary Robinson, 50, of Central Avenue, Hounslow, Oliver Robinson, 18, also of Central Avenue, Darren Hartland, 24, of Langley Road, Watford, Andrew Noonan, 26, of Little Bushey Lane, Bushey, Harry Mansbridge, 19, of First Avenue, Watford, and a 17-year-old boy from Isleworth.

The eighth man was released with no further action being taken.

Superintendent Sue Jameson said: "These charges are a continuation of our commitment to responding to football related violence.

"The fight occurred in front of people enjoying an evening out in the town, who genuinely feared for their safety.

"This is not the type of behaviour people should experience when they visit Watford and I hope this reassures the community that we will do all in our power to keep Watford a safe place."

The men will all next appear at St Albans Magistrates' Court on Friday, February 13.
