The area's friendly seal made a welcome return when it was spotted swimming through Teddington this weekend.
The grey seal, thought to be the same animal seen at Molesey Lock last week, was photographed by Andrew Butterfield of Teddington RNLI.
Mr Butterfield said he was sent a message via Twitter on Saturday evening and immediately went down to Teddington Lock to see the seal.
He said: "I went back again on Sunday morning with my daughter and it was just pottering about showing little interest in the crowd of people who had turned up to watch it.
"He did show a lot of interest in the kayakers though, and followed one for quite a while."
This incident is not the first time Mr Butterfield has encountered a seal on the river.
He said: "At least two years ago a seal came up to Teddington, came right up to me and started prodding my shoe.
"I think that was a bit of a red light for the RSPCA as that’s not normal behaviour for a seal.
"It turned out that seal was reared by humans and released with a tag on, but this one has not really shown any interest in people."
