A landlord who allegedly chased a tourist into the path of a van denied a manslaughter charge today aty the Old Bailey.
His son and another man, who allegedly removed CCTV cameras overlooking the incident, also denied perverting the course of justice.
Rostam Notarki, 52, owner of the Cardinal Wolsey pub and restaurant in Hampton Court Road, was allegedly brandishing an ironing board while chasing American Charles Hickox into the road on September 7.
Mr Hickox was hit by a van at about 7.25pm and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.30pm. Mr Notarki denied manslaughter.
Mr Notarki’s son, Kian, 19, and Mehrad Mohmadi, 45, denied perverting the course of justice after the pub’s CCTV camera was allegedly taken from the wall shortly after the incident and found elsewhere on the premises.
All are on conditional bail until the trial begins in June.
