A thief who stole a porter’s trolley and kitchen roll from a Hampton Court pub has been given a 10-week suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay £550 compensation.

Michael John Bresnahan, 48, trespassed into the Mute Swan in Hampton Court Road on August 22 and stole £550 worth of property.

Bresnahan entered a guilty plea at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on November 7 and was given a two-month curfew to prevent him leaving his home in Sittingbourne, Kent, after 10pm.
