A man from Twickenham was made to pay £230 after being found asleep in his van while intoxicated.
Mark Wells, 48, of Hounslow Road, denied being in charge of his Ford Transit van in Chiltern Avenue, Whitton, on February 11 while unfit to drive through drink.
He was found guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court and fined £110 and ordered to pay costs of £100 and a £20 victim surcharge on November 4.
An additional charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident in Waverley Avenue, Twickenham, on the same night was dismissed.
