You may have seen mince pies and decorations already appearing in shop windows, but Richmond’s festivities do not truly get started until the Christmas lights are switched on.
Actress Jerry Hall will bring a touch of glamour to Richmond on November 28 as she switches the Christmas lights on ahead of her panto run in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Christmas stalls will turn Church Street into a winter wonderland as Twickenham turns on its lights on Friday, November 21.

Mulled wine and freshly baked pies are the order of the day as East Twickenham is illuminated on November 28, with a speech from the Mayor, councillor Jane Boulton.
Whitton’s Christmas lights switch-on starts at midday on Sunday, November 23 with the annual 5k fun run which begins and ends in the High Street.
Santa will be greeting children in his grotto and market stallholders will be selling local produce and handmade crafts.
Teddington’s switch-on is November 27, and Hampton Hill celebrates its 50th Christmas parade with a photo exhibition of the High Street the following day.
