Journalist Andrew Graham-Dixon chairs a panel of art experts at Hampton Court Palace next month.

The panel includes Desmond Taylor-Shawe from the Royal Collection Trust, Sheila McTighe from the Courtauld Institute and James Heard previously of the National Gallery.

Among the topics of discussion will be the work of legendary artists such as Van Dyck, Caravaggio and Rembrandt.

The discussion takes place on November 24 at 6.30pm with tickets £18.

Before that though, there is an expert talk on the subject of Charles I’s extensive arts collection.

Speakers include Historic Royal Palace's curator Brett Dolman, psychotherapist Philippa Perry and the National Gallery's Matthew Morgan.

The talk will be held on November 14 at 7pm, with tickets £18.

Both events include an exclusive preview of the new Cumberland Art Gallery and drinks reception.
