Richmond’s older residents can have their say over town centre plans by filling out a survey ahead of a council consultation.
The council hopes to address any issues the elderly face when accessing retail, health and social amenities, by issuing a questionnaire to give older people the chance to express their thoughts on how to improve the town centre’s services.
Council cabinet member for business, Pamela Fleming, said: "The future of Richmond’s high streets is crucial to the local economy and it is important the council responds to the needs of both residents and local businesses.
"We want our high streets to be welcoming and friendly and this questionnaire will help us understand what more we can do to cater for our older and less mobile residents so shopping can be an enjoyable experience."
