A harvest themed festival featuring a 12ft scarecrow on Kew Green saw 68kg of food handed to Richmond foodbank.
Kew Green Harvest Moon Festival, which took place on September 20 and 21, celebrated the start of autumn with a showcase of hot and cold foods, groceries and hand-crafted items alongside a bar serving ales and cider.
After a plea for donations in last week's Richmond and Twickenham Times, generous visitors donated six emergency food parcels worth of goods, with up to five days worth of essentials, to Richmond foodbank.
Paul Kennedy, event coordinator at Market Square Group, said: "Kew Green Harvest Moon Festival was the first time we had staged a themed market of this type and we are delighted with the way it was received by both local residents and visitors from further afield."
