British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for help to identify a man they believe may have key information after a man exposed himself on the Tube.

The 43-year-old victim was sat on the last District Line train at about 12.30am on Tuesday, March 18, when a man stood in front of her and exposed himself, before he left the train at Kew Gardens.

Officers have carried out several lines of enquiry, including viewing CCTV footage from onboard the train and at Kew Gardens station.

Investigators have released an image of a man who they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Suleman Yazdani, the investigating officer, said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim and we will do everything we can to find the person responsible.

“We don’t tolerate unwanted sexual behaviour of any kind on the transport network and take all reports seriously. I’d urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward and speak to officers investigating the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040, or text 61016, quoting background TSUB/B11 of 16/04/14.

Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
