The mayor of Lambeth walked nearly three miles in aid of the children’s hospital that treated David Cameron’s late son.
Joined by a large group of supporters, Councillor Christiana Valcarcel, took the journey from Brixton Town Hall to the Evelina Children’s Hospital in Lambeth Palace Road on Wednesday.
She told her fellow walkers on arriving at the hospital entrance, "Thank you so much. I love you all”.
The walk is a prelude to further events, including a Kilimanjaro trek aiming to raise £400,000 for new equipment at the hospital.
