A young clubber was stabbed following a brawl with a group of teenagers in Kingston in the early hours of this morning.

The 18 year old, who was taken to Kingston Hospital with wounds to the shoulder, had been involved in a ten man scrap outside O Neill’s pub on Eden Street just after midnight.

According to police, the victim, from Roehampton, had been partying at the Ama-gi nightclub on Kingston High Street prior to the attack.

Luke Gale was heading to the town centre when he saw a fight break out between groups of youths outside the nightclub.

The 30 year old said the two groups, said to be aged between about 18 and 20, continued to argue as they both walked into the town centre.

He said: “There was a scuffle which seemed to be have calmed down but then they continued to shout each other.

“Then it just seemed to happen very quickly, one group came running towards the other past the police station and punches just started flying. It was quite scary.

“It was over in about five seconds because as soon as they heard the police sirens most of the kids fighting ran off.

“It looks like they must have known something was happening or about to happen because they were on the scene really quickly.”

Sammie Hoppe was standing outside the police station when he saw a group of young black males running in the direction of Eden Street.

He said: “I believe the victim to have been from Roehampton.

“It’s disgusting too see the generation we have now, to think what the next will be like scares me and a lot of people in surrounding areas. “ No arrests were made.
