A former CBBC presenter is running the Great North Run next weekend to help raise money for babies born prematurely at Kingston Hospital.
Kingston resident Angellica Bell will run the half marathon from Newcastle to Gateshead on Sunday, September 19, for Born Too Soon.
The neonatal unit at Kingston cares for up to 20 babies at any one time and in the past year has cared for more than 500 premature babies.
A golf day at Richmond Golf Club and a wedding dress ball at Cobham’s Hilton Hotel are among the other events being organised for the charity in coming months.
