9:30am Thursday 12th February 2009 in Kingston By David Lindsell
A rush-hour trespasser on the tracks at Kingston station has been given a conditional discharge.
The 17-year-old from Battersea was spotted crossing from platform two to platform three with a friend at 6.15pm on February 4, Kingston Magistrates’ Court heard yesterday.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted the offence.
But because he had appeared in another court the day before and been sentenced to a six-month supervision order with a youth offending team for an assault and theft, he was given a conditional discharge.
The other boy received a final warning.
Chairman of the bench Annette Reardon said: “It was a stupid thing to do. You put your life at risk and other people’s lives at risk.”
