Police are investigating four suspicious fires started in the last week in Chessington, New Malden and Kingston.
On Thursday, September 25 about 6pm police were called to Cox Lane in Chessington to an abandoned Huatian moped that been set alight.
The next day stacks of wood piled against a garden shed behind a house on Queens Road, New Malden were set fire at 11.30pm. The house had been targeted two months ago.
The third fire was spotted in the same alleyway on Sunday, September 28, when piles of rubbish at the rear of Vac Electric in Burlington Road were set fire by a man who one witness saw escape on the 131 bus.
A Ford Mondeo was set alight in a car park on Bonner Hill Road, Kingston in the early hours of Tuesday, September 30 at about 1.50am.
Polcie say the two vehicle incidents are being treated separately and have not been confirmed as linked but they are keeping an open mind.
