A burst water main has closed parts of a main road in Kingston town centre, causing rush hour chaos for commuters.
Kingston Council was forced to close one lane in Wood Street due to the burst pipe outside the Bentall Centre yesterday morning.
But Thames Water were yet to fix the pipe by today’s morning rush hour, with tailbacks reported down Penrhyn Road and Portsmouth Road.
Thames Water has said they are aware of the burst water main and are planning for an “urgent repair” at some point today.
