Tube strikes are planned to pepper this week with disruption for people who travel into London.

Some services will be completely suspended so commuters planning their journey into work may need to make alternative arrangements.

Although talks are taking place to try and prevent action, if the current plans go ahead it will affect services between Tuesday and Friday.

Staff on the bus network, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail, tram, Emirates Air Line and river services will not be striking.

More buses and river services will be provided to cope with the expected extra demand.

Although commuters should be ready for the disruptions, having gone through two strikes in recent months, people are advised to check before travelling and prepare to make alternative plans.

Plan ahead:

  • Tuesday - Tubes will start at the usual time in the morning but will stop running at about 6.30pm. Services are expected to be very busy between 4.30-6.30pm.
  • Wednesday - Most tubes are unlikely to run at all and those which do will be less frequent than usual.
  • Thursday - As with Tuesday, services will start at the usual time with further strike action beginning in he afternoon from about 6.30pm.
  • Friday - Most tubes are unlikely to run at all and those which do will be less frequent than usual.
  • Saturday - Services should be back to normal.
