Pryzm dominated at an awards ceremony celebrating the best of Kingston’s nightlife last night.
The club, formerly Oceana, took home five honours including the conveted best nightclub gong at the ninth Best Bar None awards held at Hippodrome this year.
Pryzm also won both of the public vote categories - best behind the bar and best atmosphere after receiving the majority of the 413 votes cast.
The Ram, newly refurbished in High Street, took both runners up places.
Two bars participated in the awards for the first time - Surbiton’s Coronation Hall, owned by pub chain Wetherspoons, and the Fox and Hounds in Portsmouth Road, Surbiton.
The Coronation Hall took home a best pub runner up award and the Fox and Hounds received a Best Bar None accreditation.
The Druids Head in Kingston's Market Place was awarded best pub.
Bar and club workers from across Kingston gathered for the ceremony organised by Kingstonfirst.
The Druids Head won best pub
Kingstonfirst director Ros Morgan said that the awards were being held three months earlier than usual so that the Kingston winners could also be put forward for the national Best Bar None Awards.
She said: "This evening is not about your sales, it’s not about your targets, and it’s not about your footfall or your bottom line.
"It is about you as team members who work hard behind the scenes to create great bars in Kingston.
"It’s about celebrating your commitment to Kingston which is one of the best performing centres in the UK."
