A scaffolder has admitted having sex with a child after reversing his plea on the day his trial was set to start.
Joshua Dubey, 23, had been due to stand trial at Kingston Crown Court today having previously denied allegations of having sex with a 15-year-old girl, as well as blackmail.
But the scaffolder, who lives in Jubilee Close, Hampton Wick, admitted three counts of having sex with the schoolgirl and making unwarranted demands for money from her between 2010 and 2011.
He continues to deny an allegation of rape during the same period and an application for the count to remain on file will be made at a later date.
Dubey, who works in central London and has a young child, will be sentenced at the same court on September 18.
He has been bailed to report to Kingston police station three times a week and to live and sleep at an address in Jubilee Close until sentencing.
He must also not contact the victim or visit her address, under the conditions of his bail.
