Police investigating an alleged sexual offence have cordoned off a swathe of Canbury Gardens in Kingston.
The offence is alleged to have taken place early this morning. Tudor ward Conservative councillors said the park was taped off at about 4.30am.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating an allegation of a sexual offence in Canbury Gardens, Kingston reported to police in the early hours of Saturday.
"There have been no arrests at this time and enquiries are ongoing."
