There will be songs about pregnancy, health scares, terrorism, love and social media when the Stockport five-piece Dutch Uncles appear at New Slang next week.
The electro-pop oddballs will belt out tracks from new album O Shudder, described as a mix of rock, classical and acoustic arrangements.
The album was recorded with long-term collaborator Brendan Williams in three locations – a studio in the heart of the Welsh valleys, above a Salford pub, and, for the acoustic instruments, in Salford’s Peel Hall.
Dutch Uncles; New Slang, McClusky’s, 4 Bishop’s Hall, Thames Street, Kingston; Thursday, February 26; £7; visit banquetrecords.com.
