A self defence class for women and children is starting in Epsom.

Andre de Mendonca said: “Defensive Arts is a new organization providing short but effective courses in self defence and as such is fulfilling a desire for greater personal security.

“The courses on offer are short - eight weeks in total - but intensive and the techniques, proven and immediate.

“You train in normal comfy clothes, there is no fitness requirements and the techniques are simple and easy to learn.”

The first women's course takes place at the Rainbow and Ebbisham Centres in Epsom in April and there will be also be an anti-bullying course for Year 7 and Year 8 children in July.
