A train driver was attacked and pulled from his train in Epsom rail station.
A man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, January 29, following the attack.
Officers from both Surrey Police and British Transport Police (BTP) attended following reports they received about midnight.
A Surrey Police officer said on Twitter a “drunk” man pulled the driver from the train and assaulted him.
His tweet has since been deleted.
Sammie McGinlay, a train passenger, said she saw a fight on the platform and that her train could not pull into the station as a result.
When your train can't pull into Epsom because there's a fight on the platform and they are waiting for the police. Fantastic.
