Play houses, slides, a roundabout, an overhead glide and swing sets were unveiled at a popular Chipstead playground last month, following an £80,000-revamp.
Children and parents from Chipstead Village pre-school rejoiced at the opening ceremony of the new Chipstead Mead playground on Wednesday, November 16.

Reigate and Banstead Borough councillors, along with the deputy mayor of the borough, also attended the ceremony.
The work was an entire replacement of equipment that had been installed in 2004, and was funded by £80,000 from the council’s capital budget for play area improvements.

Councillor Dr Lynne Hack, executive member for neighbourhood services, said: “I am delighted that this investment has given the children refreshed play equipment to enjoy for years to come.
“One of the council’s main priorities is to encourage healthy lifestyles and to also look after our much loved greenspaces.”
