A teenage boy was ‘run over with a moped’ and stabbed in Epsom on Friday night.

A 15-year-old boy from Worcester Park was arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH in connection with the incident.

Two girls, aged 14 and 15, and both from Epsom, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH.

They have all been bailed until January 14.

The 15-year-old victim was chased along Almond Road, Epsom by the suspect, who was riding a moped, sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm. He was allegedly run over by the moped, according to Surrey Police.

The suspect then got off the moped and stabbed him, causing serious wounds to his arm as well as nerve damage.

The victim was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, having initially been taken to Epsom General Hospital by a passerby. He was treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.

Detective Sergeant Glenn Parker, who is leading the investigation, said: “This was a nasty assault involving a group of teenagers which has left the victim with serious stab wounds and possible nerve damage to his arm.

"We would like to reassure the local community that incidents of this nature are extremely rare and that we are carrying out a full and thorough investigation in order to bring the offenders to justice.”
