A man in his twenties and a teenage boy have been charged with a series of offences following a chase by police helicopters and dog units through Epsom and Tolworth.
Surrey Police were called to reports of a garage being broken into in Dirdene Gardens, Epsom, at about 1.30am on Friday, May 27.
A short time after the call, Surrey and Metropolitan police officers, the NPAS helicopter and police dog units chased a moped, before eventually pulling the moped over in Reigate Road, Nork.
Connor Higgs, 20, of Wandle Court in Epsom has been charged with non-dwelling burglary, aggravated taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, failing to stop, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
A 14-year-old boy from Surbiton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with non-dwelling burglary, aggravated taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and failing to wear a safety helmet.
Both are due to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court at Redhill on Monday, July 25.
