Damian Ray, 38, is alleged to have attacked the woman in The Crescent on August 2, 2015.
He is also charged with two counts of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault against the same alleged victim on the same date.
Mr Ray, of Beech Grove, Epsom Downs, appeared at Croydon Crown Court on June 8 and pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
