The Star – a Grade II listed building on the corner of Ewell High Street and Cheam Road – was listed on Ewell estate agents Greenfield’s website this week.

The agents have asked for "offers in the region of £950,000".

The property is held on a 125-year lease starting on August 25, 1988. 97 years remain on the lease.

Town centres manager for Epsom and Ewell Alanna Coombes said: "Any conversation I have about the future of Ewell Village inevitably has the future of The Star flickering in the background.
