CCTV images of two men believed to have defrauded a Tadworth man in his late seventies for "large sums of money" have been released by Surrey Police.

The victim received a telephone call at his Preston Lane home from a man claiming to work for the fraud department of his bank.

The caller persuaded the victim to reveal his credit card and bank details, before another man claiming to be a courier called at the address to collect the victim’s credit cards.

The cards were used later that day at locations in Epsom to withdraw large sums of money from several of his bank accounts, police said.

Detectives are keen to speak to the two men pictured in the CCTV images as they believe the men may be able to provide vital information to assist with this ongoing investigation.

Information on the fraud should be reported to Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45150059829, or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
